Hi, I’m Shannon!

There’s no easy way to sum up all of the hats I wear as a multi-passionate, free spirited (a little bit rebellious) human, but in a nutshell, I strive to use my gifts and creative passions to spread love and make a positive impact.

Growing up, I felt like a jack of all trades, but a master of none. I just couldn't find that one thing that felt like it was meant for me. As a purpose-driven achiever with the mindset that I could have, be and do anything I wanted, I found myself drained and confused.

I used to think that I was indecisive, but now I see that I’ve just never been afraid to change my mind.

I’m human, and as a human being who’s learning and growing and changing everyday, it makes a lot of sense that my goals and dreams would grow and change too, right?

I believe that anything is possible and trust beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Universe has–and always will–have my back, so even though I still feel lost sometimes, I keep going.

At the end of the day, all I really know for sure is that sharing my gifts with the world feels good, so that’s what I’m here to do.

The good in me sees the good in you!

Becoming an author…

In October 2022, I earned a double certification as a Spiritual Life Coach and Soul Purpose Coach from The Highest Self Institute with a mission to help burned out dreamers (like me) rise up to their potential. That fall, I opened the doors to my coaching practice. A year later, I finally fulfilled a dream that was a decade in the making. I wrote and self-published my best-selling book, The Healthy High: How to manifest an Ecstatic Life Without Burning Out so that I could reach more people! I hope that every burned out dreamer who reads my book feels less alone and more empowered to create a life that feels as good as it looks.

A little further back…

Growing up, I loved documenting life. I went on to study Broadcast Journalism at Duquesne University from 2010-2014 where I earned my bachelors degree.

Thanks to my media internships with Duquesne’s athletic department, the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL Hockey Team and KDKA-TV News, I developed the skills to land an on-air job right out of college right away. I spent the next two years in small-town West Virginia working as the morning anchor, reporter, and producer for a local TV news station. I quickly realized that my “Dream Job” wasn’t quite as glamorous or fulfilling as I’d imagined, so in March of 2016, I took a leap of faith and moved home to Pittsburgh with a desire to find more joy and purpose in my life’s work.

I spent a year living in my moms attic, bartending at my favorite local pub and nannying cute kiddos while I recovered from two exhausting years of 60 hour work weeks on the night shift. With the extra time and a new lease on life, I couldn’t help but document the magic I was seeing around me!!! I brought my camera everywhere and soon enough, people were hiring me to film and photography their milestones! Just three years after leaving news, I more than tripled my news salary with the income from my business.

Eventually I opened a photography studio and AirBnB and continue to discover new ways to earn a living though my creative passions. My own personal experience drives me to cheer on any free spirit who desires to start or grow their own business because I am proof that it’s possible and I know the world needs their gifts!
