Inspired by Miley Cyrus’ Happy Hippie Foundation Shannon Chavez founded Happy Hippie Foundation PGH in 2023 and started hosting free, outdoor events through the warmer months.

Shannon believes that good things happen when good people get together and it’s that simple philosophy that sparked her desire to organize community events.
