Our Mission

I’m Shannon and I know for sure that good things happen when good people get together. I’ve seen it first hand at our events over the years and it's that simple belief that inspires me to continue inviting people to the park where we can dance, and play, and affirm life together!

In 2023, my husband Alex and I started hosting free, outdoor events through the summer months in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA with a simple mission… to bring people together.

Right away, we discovered collaborators who wanted to pitch in. Now, we work in partnership with The Golden Order to continue bringing purposeful events to our communities in person and online.

My hope is that everyone who attends a Golden Hour Get Together leaves feeling a little lighter, and a little less alone.
